About our client
Our client is a consultancy company based in Brussels centre with 30 staff and an annual fee income between €3M - €4M. The company is part a group SEC listed US company.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Finance professional to run the financial and legal aspects of their business

Job description
As Finance Controller, you will have a vertical role, from hands-on tasks in accounting to the final responsibility on all financial, administrative and legal matters. You are member of the Directors Board.

Your main responsibilities are the following:

- Management reporting: the role will encompass all aspects of management accounting, maintaining income and profitability forecasts as well as historic monthly accounting and tracking kpi's.

- Group reporting: as part of an international group, they are required to meet tight deadline and formats for group financial reports, these are due monthly, with some additional quarterly and annual (budget) reporting.

- Legal and statutory compliance: the role will encompass ensuring that the company adheres to normal legal company operating procedures and will require the review of client and supplier contracts as well as compliance with VAT and employment legislation.

- Strategic guidance: possibly the most important part of the role is the guidance of the management team to ensure that the company is properly resourced for the forecast income and keeping track on the realistic levels of income. In addition to longer term growth and expansion plans.

- Client accounting: the company currently has one client, a trade association, to whom they provide a secretariat which includes accounting services. The work involves management accounts, debtor control and forecast of cash flows as well as statutory compliance.

Who we are looking for
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
You have a Master Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics or Qualified Accountant.

EXPERIENCE
You have a minimum of 5 years experience as Financial Controller, ideally in a consultancy company.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
A perfect level in English is essential. A good level in French is a must.
