About our client
For our client with a Shared Service Center within Belgium we are currently looking for an European Accounting Manager.

Job description
As European Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

The general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results;
" Formulating and administering approved accounting practices;
" Developing and implementing policies within an already defined financial framework;
" Executing of end-of-month accounts;
" Supporting site and central functions regarding accounting/financial issues;
" Communicating and interfacing with business personnel on accounting issues;
" Managing and leading a team of employees.

Country finance services:
" Coordination with the plants and central finance on new accounting procedures to be established;
" Coordination with SAP project team on any statutory requirements;
" Interface to external and internal parties;
" Coordinate statutory and IFRS close.

As objectives of the position, we can mention:
" Plan and manage day-to-day and month-end accounting activities for Corporate Entities
" Establish and maintain an accounting system/process which guarantees the accurate presentation of financial results
" Coordinate statutory and IFRS close
" Interface to external and internal parties

Who we are looking for
You have several years of experience within a larger Accounting department. You have the ability to optimize the administrative processes within Accounting and you have an international mindset. You have excellent coaching skills and you have experience in leading a larger team. Fluency in Dutch and English required.
