Our client is a major player within the healthcare sector.
Job description
As a Financial Analyst, your main duties will be to:
- Provide financial, business and marketing analyses to the Business director, the managers and the sales managers in the european region for various product lines.
- focus on identifying business improvement opportunities, advise business management on variances to the Annual Operating Plan and assists in identifying opportunities, make recommendations.
- have to develop close working relationship with the HQ and country (finance) organizations.
- Manage and ensure understanding of the financial performance of the business. Identifies issues as they arise and communicates these issues to members of management. Establishes role of finance as a business partner.
- Support the planning and forecasting process (systems, consolidation, analysis and reporting).
- Conduct ongoing analysis of actual results compared to plan as well as ad hoc analysis needed. Follow up with countries business and sales management on improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of ongoing issues,objectives, corporate direction & initiatives.
- Offer support to the Business team on reporting needs, presentations, internal sales info systems, incentive programs, market share detail, customer analytics, product launches, pricing strategies etc. Provide guidance to non-finance management on financial issues.
- Ensures that processes & systems required for the financial analyses & control environment are aligned with the business needs.
- Balances finance perspectives with other business function perspectives.
- Support the country sales teams as needed.
- Participate / lead special financial related projects, such as integrations of acquired companies, therapy revenue tracking or metrics to measure the return on investments.
- Perform varied work assignments with limited supervision.
Who we are looking for
- University degree in finance or accounting.
- 3 years of relevant experience in finance field.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate financial issues into business and operational implications/recommendations.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency (spoken and written) in English, French and Dutch. Additional language is an asset.
- Advanced PC skills, particularly in Excel.
- SAP knowledge
- Ability to work effectively at all levels throughout the matrix organization and in various cultures.
- Be a good team player with ability to assume leadership role when appropriate.
