Our Client is a leading independent provider of global factory-to-dealer transport solutions for the automotive, agricultural and construction equipment industries.
The company also specialises in handling complex project cargoes such as rail cars, power generators, mining equipment and yachts. Their sophisticated supply chain management services ensure an efficient integration of ocean transportation, inland distribution, terminal handling and a large comprehensive range of specialised technical services. For the office in Antwerp, they are looking for a Process Manager Supply Chain.
Job description
In this role your specific focus areas will be to develop tailor-made logistic solutions with a specific focus on our Corporate Accounts and to be responsible for both business generation and implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) contracts.
You will be a member of the regional SCM-team and report to Head of SCM, region Europe. The role will be located in Antwerp/Belgium.
Responsibilities:
* Support the further development of the SCM product in region Europe.
* Actively support Corporate Account Managers in developing best in class logistics solutions for our Corporate Accounts.
* Analyse and understand the existing supply chain of the customer.
* Lead the proposal development/tender response in close co-operation with the commercial team, SCM teams in the other regions and the group companies (if applicable) to create a solution that adds value to the customer.
* Present the solution to the customer.
* Supply chain mapping, process (re-) design.
* Discuss and align service scope with customers.
* Lead the contract development and negotiation with the customer.
* Negotiating with and contracting of service providers.
* Lead the implementation project of the resulting contracts and ensure hand over to the SCM contract manager.
Who we are looking for
* Graduate, Master degree or Post-Graduate education.
* At least 3-5 years experience in outbound logistics and Supply Chain Management.
* Good understanding of Finished Vehicle Logistics and commercial experience in the Automotive Industry.
* Ability to be strategic, open minded, prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* Experience in project work and knowledge of common project management frameworks.
* Presentation and negotiation skills.
* Experience in working in an international environment.
* Experience with (logistics) systems implementations.
* Proactive driver of initiatives with excellent analytical skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to travel.
* Very good written and verbal skills in English and other European languages are a plus.
