As an Accounting Manager you will handle the accounting from A-Z (on an operational level) for 4 legal entities in the Benelux region and lead a team of 4 accountants. You will report directly to the CFO, who will guide you in collaboration with the accounting manager of Northern Europe.

Job Description

As an Accounting Manager you will be managing the accounting team of 3 people, supervising and carrying the end responsibility for the core tasks, while maintaining active on an operational level.

  • A-Z accounting w/ Benelux scope
  • Fixed Assets monitoring
  • people management & coaching
  • Closings on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations review
  • Monthly group reporting for 4 legal entities in BENELUX
  • Monitoring the IFRS16 entries in collaboration with the Financial controller
  • Establishment of the local Financial Statements
  • Tax returns preparations, VAT and Intrastat reports
  • Main contact point for external partner LUX entity
  • Process optimization for established systems and business practices
  • Ensuring compliance with internal control policies
  • Main contact point for external auditors



The Successful Applicant

We're looking for an excellent hands-on Accounting Manager. Our client would love to hear from you if match the following criteria:

  • You hold Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • You're fluent in English & French
  • You have minimum 5 years experience in GL accounting
  • You love to crunch numbers and want to be operationally active
  • You have the ambition to lead
  • You are an expert in Excel
  • You have experience in SAP or similar ERP software
  • You have great analytical skills
  • You want to have a strategical impact
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, international environment
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in retail and people management is a plus
