Our client is an international company active worldwide in the luxury sector.

In order to support their development, we are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the Benelux countries.

Their offices are located in Brussels.

Job Description

Accounting Manager Benelux - Brussels

As the Accounting Manager Benelux, you will report directly to the CFO. You manage the accounting team and remain operational within you scope.

Your main tasks will consist in :

  • Being responsible for the A to Z Accounting with a Benelux scope (including legal entities)
  • Managing a team of 3 Accountants and 1 intern
  • Supervising the monthly, quarterly and annual closing, including the B/S reconciliations review
  • Being responsible for the Fixed Assets monitoring
  • Monitoring the IFRS16 entries in collaboration with the Controller
  • Being in charge of the monthly reporting to the group for the 4 legal entities
  • Being responsible for the establishment of the local Financial Statements
  • Being responsible for the tax returns preparations, VAT reports and intrastat reports
  • Participating in the continued improvement of processes, systems and business practices (ex : e-invoicing project)
  • Ensuring compliance with internal control policies
  • Acting as a point of contact for the external auditors.

The Successful Applicant

Accounting Manager Benelux - Brussels

The ideal Accounting Manager will meet the following criteria:

  • Holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Having a minimum of 5 years of GL accounting experience
  • A first people management experience is a plus (capacity to organize, not delegate)
  • Being fluent in English & French
  • Having a good command of Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Being analytical
  • Being dynamic, loving challenges and wanting to evolve in a fast-growing company
  • Having excellent communication skills.
