Job Description

As Accounting Manager, you will be at the heart of the financial operations, leading a dedicated team and ensuring the precision and efficiency of our accounting processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will drive financial strategy and execution while mentoring team members.Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations and administration across multiple real estate entities.
  • Manage daily financial activities, including invoicing, payments, periodic closures, and VAT filings.
  • Maintain accurate financial reporting and general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure cashflow management and long-term financial health.
  • Lead and develop the Finance team, including mentoring a Junior Accountant and coordinating with external experts.
  • Prepare annual accounts and coordinate external audits and result consolidations.
  • Optimize financial processes for greater efficiency and transparency.

The Successful Applicant

We are seeking a proactive and experienced professional with a passion for numbers and leadership.

  • Higher education degree in accounting.
  • At least 10 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a leadership role (real estate sector experience is a plus).
  • Strong expertise in Belgian accounting principles and practices (accountancy qualification is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in accounting and reporting tools (experience with BOB accounting software is an asset).
  • Proven ability to solve structural challenges and drive process improvements.
  • Exceptional team management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication in French, with a working knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
  • Calm under pressure with a focus on execution and delivery.
