About Our Client

Our client is a market leader for this sector on the Belgian market and has an international presence in over 30 countries. They are searching for a driven accounting manager that will take the lead of the accounting team.

Job Description

  • Lead a team of 3 accountants and report to the CFO of Benelux
  • Perform monthly and yearly closings
  • Prepare accurate VAT filings
  • Submit required intrastat reports and income tax filings.
  • Provide timely and reliable quarterly group reporting
  • Prepare the annual financial statements
  • Process correct intercompany invoicing
  • Reconcile intercompany balances to avoid discrepancies.
  • Update the balance sheet with complete and accurate period data
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Record correct depreciation according to policy.
  • Execute the consolidation process

The Successful Applicant

For this role we are looking for someone who matches the following criteria:

  • You hold a degree in accounting or finance
  • You have 5 years of experience in accounting
  • You possess a thorough knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and tax regulations
  • You are familiar with financial reporting standards.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and have a good knowledge of French and English.
  • You are familiar with accounting software and ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • You have strong Office skills (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • You are accurate, analytical, and service-oriented.
