Key Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies for assigned categories in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage a significant yearly spend, focusing materials infrastructure/industrial projects.
  • Work closely with tendering teams to support project competitiveness.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives across the procurement community.
  • Coordinate vendor management, including framework agreements and market screenings.
  • Lead efforts to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and foster innovation with vendors.
  • Support project execution with strategic procurement inputs and negotiation support.
  • Oversee vendor performance and adjust strategies based on feedback.
  • Promote sustainability and out-of-the-box thinking to challenge specifications.

Profil recherché

Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree required, with an engineering background preferred.
  • Procurement certification or degree is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or technical roles; 5-7 years in technical industries.
  • Experience in Steel is a must
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with business acumen and commercial sensitivity.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for project and vendor management.
