Job Description

As a Category Manager, your responsibilities are:

  • Developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business goals
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value
  • Leading, supporting development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide the segment with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support procurement initiatives
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers
  • Monitoring and managing category performance metrics
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures

The Successful Applicant

A successful Category Manager should have:

  • A strong background in Procurement & Supply Chain management
  • Experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
  • Proven skills in category management and supplier negotiation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A results-driven approach with attention to detail
  • A willingness to travel 25% of the time, mainly in Europe
