Chief Accountant

Our client, active in the pharmaceutical sector, is looking for a Chief Accountant to join their office located in Liège. You will be report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the full range of accounting tasks.

Chief Accountant

Main responsibilities include:

  • All general accounting functions such as accounts payable entries in line with BEGAAP
  • Preparation of all VAT activities and declaration
  • Financial statements and support schedules according to monthly and quarterly close plan
  • Tax returns and other corporate reporting requirements
  • Financial Analysis
  • Continuous improvement of finance function

The ideal candidate

  • You have at least 10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in French and English
  • BEGAAP and IFRS knowledge
  • Good command in Excel
  • At least Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • You are a passionate, hands-on accounting leader who has an entrepreneurial spirit
