The company operates within a large international group while maintaining a strongly local and familial culture.
The Finance Manager will play a strategic role with a great managerial component. The human side of things is one of the most important one.
This role will work closely with the Country Manager and group finance teams to restore operational control and reinforce a high-performing finance environment.

Job Description

The Finance Manager based in Brussels will manage a team and coordinate the activities of the different shops with the local managers.

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Reinforce daily financial controls, cost management, and operational discipline across all finance sub-teams.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the Country Manager and liaise regularly with regional finance leadership.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under Belgian GAAP and group standards.
  • Oversee accounting, controlling, audit coordination, and retail cash-flow supervision for the Belgian entity.
  • Drive process improvement, financial transformation projects, and ERP (Oracle) optimisation initiatives.
  • Rebuild engagement, trust, and alignment within the finance team through strong and visible people leadership.

The Successful Applicant

The Finance Manager will gather a certain experience and set of skills :

  • Master's degree in Finance / Economics / Business Management - or equivalent
  • Min 8 years of experience in finance
  • Fluency in French and English; Dutch is a strong asset.
  • Solid experience in accounting, audit, controlling, and financial management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Belgian GAAP, financial processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a diverse team, with a collaborative and empowering leadership style.
  • Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders locally and internationally.
