About Our Client

Our client is a well known Belgian Company in the Insurance Industry.

Job Description

The Candidate will:

  • Assist the department in the Review of Legal Matters, relevant contracts with providers, counterparties, loan agreements, investment in funds,...
  • Attend all relevant meetings with Credit Risk, Investment and Had Hoc committees and Provide his opinion on the legal aspects
  • Monitor & Assess all the new pertinent legislation and report to the CIO Management
  • Assist Other departments with Legal questions related to CIO
  • Assist in the communications to relevant authorities (BNB, FSMA,...)
  • Assit the Compliance department on specific legal matters & external auditors

The Successful Applicant

The successful Candidate must :

  • Have experience in the financial sector (Banking, Insurance,Invest companies) OR experience as a Financial Lawyer
  • Have at least a degree in law, Master degree in Financial Law would be a plus
  • Have 5 to 8 years of experience in a Law Firm specialized in Financial transactions, Investment constructions
  • Have a good knowledge of the national and European Regulatory environment
  • Be Fluent in English, French and Dutch

--> A Knowledge of the Life Insurance sector is a plus
