As Freelance Supply Chain Officer, you will ensure the continuity of day-to-day supply chain operations following the departure of a long-standing team member. You will take a hands-on role, coordinating logistics, suppliers, production, and customer service activities across Belgium and neighboring regions.

Job Description

As a Freelance Supply Chain Officer your responsibilities are:

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations (orders, planning, stock, logistics)
  • Coordinate with production, assembly, repair, and warranty activities
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer service and supply chain topics
  • Handle supplier management and purchasing, including price negotiations
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical components
  • Anticipate and mitigate supply chain disruptions (e.g. electronics shortages)
  • Allocate components efficiently across different products and business needs
  • Manage claims, delays, and escalations with a proactive approach
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders (Belgium, Netherlands, UK)
  • Ensure operational continuity during the transition period

The Successful Applicant

A successful Freelance Supply Chain Officer should have:

  • Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations in an industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and technical components (electronics is a plus)
  • Hands-on, operational, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in customer service and stakeholder management
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers
  • Comfortable in an international and fast-changing environment
  • Languages: French (mandatory), English (professional), Dutch (a plus)
