Our client is a major Belgian NGO active in the Healthcare sector - with its HQ in Belgium they are active in multiple countries across Africa, Asia & Latin America to help people & patient suffering from various tropical diseases.

To advance public health, the Foundation aims to offer vital medical care based on an integrative approach that places human dignity at the core of its activities.

In order to sustain their future and ensure the healthy development of the NGO, they are currently looking to extend their Fundraising team by adding a new Legs & Major Donors Officer.

Functie

As the successful Sr Legacy & Major Donor Officer, you will have the following responsibilities:

Legacy development and management:

  • Develop, implement and monitoring the strategic legacy fundraising plan, in line with the organisation's objectives.
  • Be a driving force proposals to develop new approaches and optimise existing strategies to increase the share of legacies in overall funding.
  • Identify and implement actions to maximise the growth of legacies and ensure their and ensure their effective integration into the fundraising strategy
  • Identify, engage and convert prospects into testators through a personalised and structured approach.
  • Ensuring strategic testators in order to maintain their commitment and optimise the conversion of pledges.
  • Develop and optimise communication tools and campaigns dedicated to legacies to increase their impact and visibility.
  • Managing and strengthening strategic around legacies (e.g. testament.be) and initiate new collaborations to increase sources of funding.



Development and commitment of major donor

  • Developing a major donor loyalty and conversion strategy.
  • Develop personalised relationships with high-potential donors and ensure quality follow-up.
  • Organise events and targeted campaigns to increase the commitment of major donors.



Monitoring and optimising performance

  • Defining and monitoring performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of fundraising initiatives.
  • Analysing market trends and proposing strategic improvements to optimise results.
  • Ensure rigorous management of data and administrative processes relating to donations and legacies.



Representation and institutional commitment

  • Represent the NGO at events to raise the organisation's awareness.
  • Working in synergy with the various departments to ensure the coherence of fundraising actions.



Profiel

As the successful Sr Legacy & Major Donor Officer, you will have the following requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role in fundraising, legacy management and major donor relations.
  • Excellent command of planned giving & major donor fundraising strategies.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing relationships with high-potential donors.
  • Ability to structure, manage and optimise successful fundraising campaigns.
  • Mastery of data management and reporting tools.
  • Fluent French and Dutch, good command of English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable interacting with a variety of people.
  • Strategic and analytical mind, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Autonomous, rigorous and results-oriented.
