Job Description

Responsibilities of the Accountant:

  • Financial Management: Oversee financial accounts and records for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Advisory Services: Provide expert financial advice to clients, helping them make informed decisions and optimize their financial performance.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure clients' tax compliance by preparing and filing tax returns and advising on tax strategies.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with audit teams to facilitate external audits and resolve accounting issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to address financial challenges and implement best practices.
  • Continual Learning: Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications of the Accountant:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fiduciary or financial advisory role.
  • Proficiency in English and French or Dutch is required, as you will be working with clients from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
