About Our Client

The company is an international broker that acts as an independent sales & marketing organization for "fast moving" consumer products (FMCG).

On behalf of their clients (international A-brand manufacturers) and through excellent contacts with both Retail and Out of Home, they take care of the supply chain, marketing and commercialization of various brands.

The group manages about 100 brands in Food and Non food and has a turnover of €300 million and a total of 250 employees.

In the company environment, they work closely with they customers brand owners (our principals) on the one hand, and their end customers in Retail, Drug, e-commerce, Foodservice & Impulse, on the other. They have a Full Service approach to (trade) marketing, commercialization including supply chain in many categories including strong brands.

Their group has experienced strong growth year after year and in this context they want to further professionalize the organization in order to develop our "Family Business" in a future-proof way.

Job Description

As a (Jr) Product Manager , you are working on developing 2 food brands, communication and category plans for the Belgian market. You carry out these within the agreed framework, you prepare analyzes and reports and you use your creativity for the development of POS materials and social media. In addition, you also support marketing in the 'hot drinks' category.

In this position you report to the Marketing Manager.


  • You are responsible for developing the marketing approach and commercial approach of various brands in the retail, cash&carry and foodservice channels;
  • In addition to marketing activities, you also coordinate commercial activities and are in close contact with customers, sales colleagues, customer service and logistics;
  • You make analyzes based on Nielsen and GFK figures;
  • You independently financially manage a number of brands and this up to profit and loss level;
  • You are responsible for the development of POS material
  • You manage social media and align communication on e-commerce.
  • You are in contact with the brand suppliers and you work closely with the Sales team, Financial service and other internal departments;
  • You will join a dynamic team of Sales and Marketing employees

The Successful Applicant

  • You have a master's degree in economics/marketing
  • You have 3-4 years of relevant marketing experience, including trade marketing and category management in FMCG / Retail
  • You are well organized and systematic, so that you determine your priorities within a multitude of tasks and therefore you keep your different balls in the air;
  • You are strong in administrative follow-up and processing of marketing data;
  • You have analytical insight and like to work with numbers;
  • You have a strong interest in digital marketing and e-commerce;
  • You have an outspoken "can do" mentality;
  • A sense of responsibility, customer focus, creativity, enthusiasm, contact skills and the ability to function well in a team are advantages;
  • You are well trilingual (N/F/E);
  • You can easily work with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
