Job Description

As a Junior KYC Officer your responsibilities are:

  • Perform comprehensive KYC checks on new and existing clients to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Review and validate customer documentation according to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records in the system and ensure data accuracy at all times.
  • Monitor transactions for any suspicious activity and escalate issues as needed to the compliance team.
  • Provide appropriate support and training to the staff, providing appropriate support to the business departments, keeping abreast of the latest regulatory developments having an impact on the Bank's
  • business and especially in regards to KYC principles, AML/CTF and sanctions aspects;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve KYC-related queries efficiently.
  • Support periodic and ad-hoc reporting requirements related to KYC processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior KYC Officer should have:

  • A degree in finance, law, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) principles and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools and systems commonly used in financial services.
  • An analytical mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
