A leading law firm is looking for a mid-level lawyer with 2 to 6 years of experience in employment law to join its Antwerp or Ghent office.

This specialized law firm focuses on human resources law and has approximately 100 lawyers across six cities in Belgium. It provides integrated legal services to both national and international clients.

Functie

  • Client advisory & case management - Provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters, including employment contracts, working conditions, dismissals, and restructuring.
  • Contract & policy drafting - Draft and review employment agreements, internal policies, collective labor agreements, and compliance documents.
  • Litigation & dispute resolution - Represent clients in employment litigation, handling cases before labor courts and administrative bodies.
  • Negotiation & mediation - Advise clients in negotiations with employees, trade unions, and regulatory bodies, seeking practical and legally sound solutions.
  • Regulatory compliance - Ensure clients remain compliant with Belgian and European employment regulations, providing proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Business development - Support the firm's growth by maintaining strong client relationships and participating in networking events.
  • Training & knowledge sharing - Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to internal training sessions on employment law topics.



Profiel

  • Master's degree in Law with a focus on employment law.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in employment law, ideally within a law firm.
  • Strong expertise in Belgian labor law and familiarity with European employment regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
