Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor Belgian and European legal developments in urban planning, permitting, and energy policy relevant to commercial real estate.
  • Analyze the impact of new and existing laws, case law, and legal doctrine on urban permits, energy initiatives, and commercial property.
  • Advise member companies on compliance with urban and environmental regulations, and support them in sustainable development projects.
  • Represent the sector's interests at regional, federal, and European levels, advocating for pragmatic and future-oriented urban and energy policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate working groups and committees focused on urban development, permitting, and energy transition.
  • Build and maintain a strong network with members and institutional partners.

The Successful Applicant

  • Belgian Master's degree in Law
  • Experience as a consultant, lawyer, or in-house legal counsel
  • Ability to translate complex legal matters into clear, practical advice
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical, hands-on, and business-minded
  • Dynamic, persuasive, and able to inspire others
  • Bilingual Dutch/French; good command of English
  • Initiative, responsibility, and strong organizational skills
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Flexible and eager to learn
