Job Description

As Legal Counsel within a globally active organization headquartered in Belgium, you will play a key role in providing legal guidance across various departments and jurisdictions. You will report directly to the legal leadership team and contribute to the legal integrity of our client's activities.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of international legal matters, requiring a high level of accuracy, legal insight, and cross-border collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice, with a strong focus on commercial contracts and contract review
  • Oversee and manage legal and compliance matters including data protection, anti-bribery, and competition law
  • Proactively handle disputes and claims involving external parties
  • Support cross-functional teams (finance, operations, sales) in executing international corporate initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Belgian law
  • At least 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on commercial law
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Dutch, French, or Spanish are a plus
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and solution-driven with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and departments
