About Our Client

Job Description

As a Legal Counsel, your responsibilities are:

  • Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to the business and support areas of the bank.
  • Review, draft and negotiate financial and banking documentation, with experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, guarantees, security packages; or
    • ISDA Master Agreements, CSA/credit support documentation, derivative confirmations, structured notes.
  • Support transactional execution and liaise with internal stakeholders (Risk, Compliance, Operations, Front Office).
  • Assist in the implementation of cross‑border projects, new products and internal policies.
  • Support general legal tasks of the Luxembourg branch, including corporate housekeeping, regulatory queries and interaction with external counsel.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • A law degree from a recognized institution, with a focus on corporate or banking law.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in corporate banking.
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg banking and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal contracts and agreements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Additional languages such as Spanish, German, or Portuguese are an asset.
