The client is a fast-growing retail chain specializing in a diverse range of products, operating over numerous stores across Belgium and employing more than 400 staff. The company is based in the area of Courtrai / Kortrijk.

Job Description

As Procurement Manager you will:



  • Translate company mission into purchasing strategy by building optimal assortments.


  • Manage all product categories, tracking performance, pricing, and trends.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, attending fairs and visits.


  • Lead, coach, and train the purchasing team, fostering professional growth.


  • Monitor budgets, KPIs, and margins, ensuring assortment innovation.


  • Ensure structured departmental processes, systems, and optimization initiatives.


  • Actively contribute to the management team, aligning with company strategy and collaborating across departments.



The Successful Applicant

The Procurement Manager we are looking for has (a):



  • Master's degree or equivalent experience, with 10-15 years in a similar retail procurement role.


  • Passion for the job, strong commercial and negotiation skills with proven retail expertise.


  • Analytical and data-driven mindset while also staying attuned to trends, fashion, and interior design.


  • Empathetic approach and able to coach a diverse team.


  • Team player attitude with excellent collaboration skills.


  • Hands-on, pragmatic, visible on the shop floor while maintaining strategic oversight.


  • Fluent in French and English, with a positive and proactive attitude. Dutch is a plus.
