Job Description

  • Configure, optimize, and support all SAP CO processes, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, WIP, Variance Analysis, Allocations, and CO‑PA, ensuring accurate and efficient cost management across the business.
  • Drive a smooth and timely month-end close by managing cost estimate runs, WIP and variance calculations, settlements, reconciliations, and profitability reporting.
  • Support FI-CO integration, ensuring correct GL mappings, automatic postings, and financial reconciliation of CO activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Plant Controlling, and Operations to ensure accurate end-to-end cost flows across MM, PP, SD, and PM into CO, enabling reliable financial insights.
  • Lead CO-related change requests and system enhancements, including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Own and govern CO master data, including cost centers, profit centers, activity types, internal order types, and CO‑PA characteristics, ensuring data quality and structural consistency.
  • Provide expert-level training, documentation, and support to Key Users across Finance and Operations, strengthening organizational capability in CO processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT BPs and key business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end cost visibility, profitability insights, and actionable reporting for management decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Technology.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CO (FICO), ideally within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong expertise in: Product Costing (standard cost roll, cost estimates), CO‑PA (profitability analysis), CCA/PCA and, Internal Orders, WIP, variance calculation, allocations, and settlements
  • Solid understanding of FI-CO integration and its impact on financial postings.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret cost flows and margin data.
  • Prior experience supporting month-end close and improving costing/profitability processes.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as BW, SAC, or Power BI is a plus.
