Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar Jobs Updated on 13/04/2026Join a rapidly growing international wealth‑management institution in LuxembourgTake on a high‑impact risk role at the heart of the bank's development.About Our ClientOur client is a Luxembourg‑based banking institution that provides independent advisory‑only services and tailored cross‑border wealth management solutions, making it a distinctive player in the local market.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Risk Officer your responsibilities are:Drive the bank's risk monitoring across all key areas : credit, operational, liquidity, ESG and ICT; ensuring accurate, timely controls and reporting.Support Enterprise Risk Management, contributing to the annual risk assessment, Risk Appetite Framework calibration, risk taxonomy updates, and policy/procedure enhancements.Ensure regulatory compliance, staying on top of CSSF/EU requirements (Basel, CRR, DORA, ESG) and embedding them effectively into the bank's processes.Advise senior management, providing sharp risk insights, assessments, and recommendations to enable sound, risk‑aware decision‑making.Promote a strong risk culture by raising awareness, supporting training initiatives, and collaborating with operational teams to identify, assess, and remediate control deficiencies.Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and proactively propose process improvements to reinforce the bank's risk framework.Prepare materials for governance bodies and contribute to regulatory disclosures with accuracy and clarity.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Risk Officer should have:A strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field.As least 5 years of experience in risk management within the banking / financial industry preferably in Luxembourg.Knowledge of risk measurement, regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.Solid understanding of data‑driven risk analysis, including the use of SQL, SAS, AI‑enabled models, and other automation tools to enhance risk monitoring, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Fluency in Spanish is an absolute must; excellent knowledge of English is necessary.
