Job Description

The successful Team Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of ophthalmic instruments and equipment
  • Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance, calibration, and repairs for ophthalmic instruments
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of technicians and support staff responsible for handling and maintaining ophthalmic instruments
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ophthalmic instruments
  • Assist in budget planning and allocation for the ophthalmic instrument department
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the department

The Successful Applicant

The successful Team Manager will have the following profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, healthcare management)
  • Previous experience in ophthalmic instrument management or a related role is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic instrument maintenance, calibration, and repair
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance
  • Fluent in Dutch, English and French
