About Our Client

Our client is a renowned international Research Institute. Based in Brussels, the company is currently looking for a Test Engineer. The goal is to lead technical execution of engineering & field-testing activities.

Job Description

As a Test Engineer you are responsible for:

  • The daily technical execution of engineering & field-testing activities within research projects
  • The review of test requirements, test facility, instrumentation design & development, test campaign, troubleshooting, data acquisition & analysis
  • The assistance to the technical and maintenance activities, contacts & supervises external maintenance partners
  • The support to project management of engineering & field-testing projects; budget control, planning, coordination between services & risk monitoring
  • The contribution to the development of the Research Expertise Groups
  • The run tests on various components and features in order to identify and fix technical issues.
  • Training and managing junior team members and students for their engineering & testing activities

The Successful Applicant

  • You have a master's degree in industrial engineering (mechanical, electromechanical)
  • You have a first experience in a similar testing role (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience in one of the following industries is a plus (Research institutes, consulting companies, aerospace, automotive, aviation, chemical industries or medical devices)
  • You have a good knowledge of English (and a second language: French or Dutch)
