As a senior accountant you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations within the accounting & finance department. For our customer in the FMCG industry you will be in charge of all VAT-related tasks, an upcoming ERP-implementation and ad-hoc reports to the CFO.

Functie

As a Senior Accountant your tasks are varied and you will have the possibility to develop your expertise and work in close collaboration with the CFO. Based on the needs of the team you will be able to integrate yourself successfully as a reliable partner with the following core tasks:

  • Accounting A to Z with focus on VAT and Intrastat
  • ERP-implementation project starting as from 2026
  • Ad-Hoc reports and analysis for the CFO
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities within the accounting & finance team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement financial controls.

Profiel

The successful candidate ideally matches the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in an Economics-related field with a specialization in Accountancy
  • A passion for VAT and the willingness to further deepen your expertise in this area
  • Experience with VAT declarations is a plus, but strong interest and eagerness to learn are just as important
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (experience with MS Dynamics 365 is an asset)
  • Good command of MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and French
