As Occupational Health & Safety Expert BENELUX, you will ensure health, safety, and well-being across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Job Description

As an OHS Expert Benelux your responsibilities are:

  • Act as legally designated preventieadviseur (Belgium) and preventiemedewerker (Netherlands)
  • Implement OHS strategy and operational plans aligned with corporate standards
  • Maintain and improve the Health & Safety management system (policies, audits, KPIs)
  • Advise senior leaders, HR, Works Councils on OHS risks and compliance
  • Lead Health & Safety Committees and promote a positive safety culture
  • Design and deliver annual well-being programs (mental and physical health)
  • Develop and govern OHS training plans and induction programs
  • Conduct site inspections (own sites and customer sites) and adapt risk assessments
  • Investigate incidents, ensure corrective actions, and report KPIs
  • Collaborate with France-Benelux and global OHS teams on improvement projects

The Successful Applicant

A successful OHS Expert Benelux profile:

  • Proven experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector
  • Certified preventieadviseur (Level 1 or 2) in Belgium; VCA required
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian OHS legislation
  • Experience in well-being initiatives and safety culture programs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to work in a matrix environment
  • Languages: Dutch and English mandatory, French
  • Valid driving license; willingness to travel up to 30-40%
  • IOSH/NEBOSH or similar qualifications are a plus
