Job Description

As a Transport Supervisor your responsibilities are:

  • Set goals/objectives and oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring a strong planning for timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Supervise and lead a team (+- 9 fte) of logistics and transport professionals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (like import, export, HQ) and external partners (like carriers / transport partners) to improve supply chain processes.
  • Analyze transportation data and prepare reports for management.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport Supervisor should have:

  • Proven expertise in transport operations within the shipping industry.
  • People management skills to manage and motivate a team of 9 fte effectively.
  • Solid understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in using common software/ IT tools.
  • Solid communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
