This position is within the property industry and based near Ternat.

Job Description

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and analysing operational expenses and project-related costs.
  • Managing and overseeing the invoice and purchase order cycle.
  • Reviewing accounting entries, allocations, and VAT-related controls.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Performing variance analysis and preparing financial reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
  • Contributing to process improvements, financial systems enhancements, and European-wide projects.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive transparency, efficiency, and cost optimisation.
  • Supporting knowledge-sharing and collaboration within the finance team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Previous experience within a services, retail, or similar operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Experience with SAP; S4Hana knowledge is considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP standards is an advantage.
  • Fluent English communication skills; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in an international and fast-paced environment
