Job Description

As a Data Engineer / BI Consultant, you will contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's data ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines within a Snowflake environment.
  • Working with SQL and Linux/Bash to support data integration, automation, and transformation processes.
  • Implementing and maintaining solutions within a modern Data Mesh architecture combining Data Lake and Data Warehouse principles.
  • Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data flows and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with international business stakeholders located across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Gathering business requirements and translating them into sustainable and efficient data solutions.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and Business Intelligence capabilities.
  • Contributing to data quality, governance, and optimization initiatives.
  • Participating in ongoing projects related to cloud data platforms and digital transformation.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and enjoys working in an international environment.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or a similar domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake at an intermediate level.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • SQL
    • Linux/Bash
    • Data Factory
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.



The following skills would be considered an advantage:

  • Experience with Data Mesh architectures.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Experience with Matillion.
  • Experience with Teradata.



Languages:

  • English is mandatory.
  • French and/or Dutch are considered strong assets.
