Job Description

As an ESG & Impact Officer your responsibilities are:

  • Conduct ESG and impact due diligence for high-risk investments
  • Assess projects across sectors such as infrastructure, mining, agriculture, forestry, and financial services
  • Manage external ESG and environmental & social consultants
  • Support portfolio companies in implementing ESG management systems and action plans
  • Monitor ESG performance and impact outcomes throughout the investment lifecycle
  • Strengthen ESG policies, frameworks, tools, and internal processes
  • Contribute to impact reporting, case studies, and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate third-party ESG and impact assessments
  • Represent the organization at industry events and ESG-related initiatives

The Successful Applicant

A successful ESG & Impact Officer should have:

  • Master's degree in Economics, International Development, Political Science, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline
  • Strong experience applying IFC Performance Standards
  • Exposure to projects in emerging and developing markets
  • Solid knowledge of ESG risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience reviewing Environmental & Social Management Systems (ESMS)
  • Understanding of impact measurement frameworks, SDGs, Theory of Change, or similar approaches
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; Power BI experience is a plus
  • Ability to draft high-quality analytical reports and investment documentation in English
