As a Freelance Inventory Planner, you will join the EMEA Supply Chain team and report to the Supply Chain Manager.Your main focus will be to ensure optimal inventory levels across European warehouses, maintain high service levels and support ongoing projects such as new warehouse openings and process alignment.

Our client is an international company active in the medical devices sector, with a strong focus on dialysis solutions, representing the majority of its revenue.

The organization operates a global supply chain, with most products manufactured in Asia and additional production sites in Europe (Germany and Spain). The European headquarters manages distribution across EMEA, working closely with multiple 3PL warehouse partners.

Job Description

As a Freelance Inventory Planner your responsibilities are:

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels across multiple European warehouses.
  • Monitor stock levels, overstock, shortages and expiry risks, ensuring availability and cost efficiency.
  • Act as the main point of cobntact for 3PL partners, coordinating inbound and outbound flows.
  • Collaborate closely with demand planning teams to align forecasts and anticipate supply risks.
  • Support the opening of new warehouses (Spain, Italy) and ensure alignment with internal processes.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, including stock reconciliation and cycle counts.
  • Follow up daily operations to guarantee product availability and service levels.
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization across EMEA supply chain operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Freelance Inventory Planner should have:

  • Proven experience as Inventory Planner, Supply Planner or similar role.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex inventory flows.
  • Experience working with 3PL logistics providers and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and build relationships with stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, templates, reporting).
  • Fluent in English, Italian or Spanish are a plus
