About Our Client

To support continued growth, Our client are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities, supplier strategy, and quality oversight across multiple European operations while managing a purchasing and quality team.

Job Description

As a Strategic Purchasing Manager your responsibilities are:

  • Lead and develop the European purchasing function
  • Manage and coach purchasing and quality teams
  • Define and execute sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and framework agreements
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and procurement performance
  • Develop and monitor procurement KPIs
  • Ensure material availability and inventory optimisation
  • Partner closely with production, sales, logistics and quality teams



The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Purchasing Manager should have:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement within an industrial environment
  • Proven people management experience
  • Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management expertise
  • Experience negotiating contracts and driving savings initiatives
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Results-driven, organised and resilient mindset
