As Senior KYC Officer, you will oversee the KYC framework and contribute to the effective implementation of AML/CFT requirements across the Luxembourg organisation and its European network.You will combine technical compliance expertise, team coordination and stakeholder management while working closely with senior Compliance management, business lines, auditors and regulators.

Its European network spans multiple jurisdictions, making the Luxembourg headquarters an important hub for cross-border banking activities and regulatory coordination.

Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate the KYC team, allocating responsibilities and monitoring workload and performance
  • Support senior Compliance management in fulfilling AML/CFT and KYC obligations across Luxembourg and the European network
  • Develop and maintain AML/CFT, KYC policies, procedures, guidelines and internal controls
  • Oversee client onboarding and ensure accurate, complete and timely Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
  • Supervise periodic and event-driven KYC reviews and client risk reassessments
  • Monitor the quality and integrity of customer data within internal systems
  • Perform four-eyes controls in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Prepare AML/KYC management information and regulatory reporting for senior management, committees and the Board
  • Coordinate AML/CFT and KYC interactions with Luxembourg authorities and support regulatory submissions
  • Act as a key contact during internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
  • Provide expert AML/KYC guidance to business lines and European branches
  • Coordinate compliance training and contribute to the development of KYC awareness across the organisation
  • Build effective working relationships with Compliance, business, operations and other control functions
  • Consolidate and coordinate relevant regulatory and AMLA reporting
  • Contribute to wider Compliance projects and regulatory initiatives when required



The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in AML/CFT, KYC, Compliance or regulatory roles within financial services
  • Strong practical knowledge of Customer Due Diligence and client risk assessment
  • Solid understanding of Luxembourg, European and international AML/CFT requirements
  • Previous experience coordinating a KYC or Compliance team is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of KYC onboarding, periodic reviews and remediation processes
  • Experience with AML/KYC screening or client due diligence systems
  • Fluent English; French and/or Mandarin would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Highly organised, structured and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, business teams and regulators
  • Comfortable operating in a multicultural and international banking environment
  • High standards of discretion, integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement
  • Proactive, independent and results-oriented approach
