Job Description

As Risk Manager, you will play a central role in strengthening and evolving the Group's enterprise risk framework while supporting senior stakeholders on key regulatory and strategic matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of the risk management framework, policies, and governance processes
  • Designing and improving risk identification and assessment methodologies across a broad range of risk categories
  • Managing and continuously updating the risk register, including the analysis of existing, evolving, and emerging risks
  • Monitoring risk exposures, key risk indicators, thresholds, and mitigation plans to ensure effective follow-up and escalation where needed
  • Coordinating the preparation of high-quality risk reporting for senior management, executive committees, and Board-level stakeholders
  • Supporting the production of regulatory and internal risk documentation linked to the insurance environment and solvency requirements
  • Assessing the effectiveness of the overall risk management system and recommending improvements in line with business evolution and regulatory expectations
  • Promoting risk awareness across the organization by supporting a strong risk culture and identifying training or communication needs
  • Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders by providing clear, actionable, and business-oriented risk insight
  • Contributing to key topics such as operational resilience, strategic risk, compliance risk, and emerging themes including cyber and climate-related exposures

The Successful Applicant

A successful Risk Manager should have:

  • A Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field
  • Around 5 years or more of relevant experience in risk management, consulting, or internal control within the insurance sector or a closely related financial services environment
  • A solid understanding of the Luxembourg insurance regulatory landscape, including solvency-related requirements and interactions with supervisory frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management principles across insurance, financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks
  • Experience with risk quantification, assessment methodologies, and reporting tools
  • The ability to analyze complex topics, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A structured, autonomous, and detail-oriented working style, combined with sound judgment and a proactive mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with a range of internal stakeholders
  • Fluency in French and English
