As Freelance Warehouse Project Manager, you will report to the Head of Logistics Europe and take ownership of the warehouse setup project from the final tender phase through operational go-live and partner performance stabilization. The warehouse is planned to go live in Q1 2027 and will be operated by a 3PL partner.

About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly expanding international consumer goods company strengthening its footprint across Central & Eastern Europe. To support this growth, they are launching a new warehouse and transport platform in the Czech Republic that will serve the entire CEE region.

Job Description

As a Freelance Project Manager Warehouse your responsibilities are:

  • Participate in the final tender and negotiation phase to select and contract the warehouse partner in the Czech Republic.
  • Define and implement warehouse operating procedures (SOPs) together with the selected 3PL.
  • Prepare the dedicated warehouse areas and align operational ways of working with the logistics partner.
  • Establish KPI tracking, governance routines, and daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews.
  • Set up the transport network for parcel and pallet flows across all Central & Eastern European countries.
  • Negotiate with transport providers and manage commercial and operational discussions.
  • Work closely with the IT team on the integration between the company ERP (Infor M3) and the 3PL WMS platform.
  • Monitor warehouse and transport performance, customer service levels, stock accuracy, inbound/outbound activities, and delivery lead times.
  • Analyze operational data and provide KPI reporting to management.
  • Support business growth by identifying service and logistics optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare the operational handover to the future Logistics Manager after the stabilization phase.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Freelance Project Manager Warehouse should have:

  • Proven experience managing warehouse setup, 3PL implementation, or logistics transformation projects in an international environment.
  • Strong background in warehousing and transport operations.
  • Experience running RFP/RFQ processes and negotiating with logistics providers.
  • Knowledge of consumer goods, retail fashion, B2B distribution, or e-commerce logistics is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent Czech and English are mandatory.
