Our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to manage a broad range of operational HR activities in its Brussels office. The role combines HR administration, payroll, recruitment and employee lifecycle management, with significant autonomy and close interaction with Partners and international HR stakeholders.

Our client is an international business law firm with a strong presence across Europe and a global network of more than 45 offices and over 3,000 lawyers worldwide. Its Brussels office brings together approximately 55 lawyers alongside a dedicated business support team, operating in a highly international and multicultural environment.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day HR administration and employee records in Workday.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with Finance, employees and SD Worx.
  • Manage employee benefits and support employees on Belgian HR legislation and social security matters.
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment with Partners, candidates and external agencies.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with IT, Finance, Reception and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate performance review processes and follow up with employees and teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the Brussels Office Manager and contribute to the continuous development of the HR function.

The Successful Applicant

You have solid experience in HR administration or as an HR generalist and enjoy a hands-on role where you can take ownership and work autonomously.

  • Strong knowledge of Belgian HR administration and social legislation.
  • Comfortable with payroll processes; experience with SD Worx is a plus.
  • Proactive, meticulous and highly organised.
  • Mature and confident communicator, able to interact with Partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Business-oriented HR sparring partner with a diplomatic but assertive approach.
  • Fluent in English and French; Dutch is an asset.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
