We are seeking a Legal Advisor to provide expert legal guidance and support within the bank. This role will focus on legal matters related to commercial banking in Luxembourg.

Our client is a large organization operating within the financial services sector, specifically in commercial banking. They are recognized for their robust presence in Luxembourg and their commitment to providing excellent banking services.

Functie

As a Legal Advisor your responsibilities are:

  • Provide legal advice and support to the commercial banking operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support the legal department in handling disputes and litigation.
  • Monitor changes in financial services regulations and advise on their impact.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address legal matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.

Profiel

A successful Legal Advisor should have:

  • A degree in Law, with a specialization in banking or financial services being advantageous.
  • Between 3-5 years of experience legal, specialised in corporate banking.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking laws and regulations.
  • Good knowledge in MIFID, EMIR,MAR,..
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Proficiency in handling regulatory compliance matters.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
