About Our Client

Our client is a leading international industrial group recognised for its innovation-driven strategy and global footprint. To support its continued growth through strategic acquisitions and investments, the company is expanding its specialist M&A legal team in Brussels.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments
  • Managing all legal aspects of complex cross-border transactions
  • Structuring transactions and providing commercially focused legal advice
  • Drafting and negotiating sophisticated transaction documentation
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams across Legal, Strategy, Finance, Tax, Treasury, HR, Compliance and IT
  • Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
  • Leading signing, closing and post-completion activities
  • Supporting integrations, reorganisations and carve-out transactions
  • Advising senior executives on strategic legal risks and transaction execution
  • Contributing to the continuous development of our client's M&A legal capability

The Successful Applicant

  • Belgian Master of Law (or equivalent European qualification)
  • Significant experience in Corporate/M&A law (typically 8+ years)
  • Background within a top-tier international law firm and/or sophisticated in-house M&A environment
  • Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-border transactions
  • Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously in an international environment
  • Fluent English; French and/or Dutch are advantageous
