Job Description

As a Policy Officer your responsibilities are:

  • Monitor and analyse European and international policy, regulatory, and market developments relevant to consumers and businesses.
  • Conduct research and provide evidence-based analysis on economic, regulatory, and market-related topics.
  • Translate complex policy, economic, and regulatory information into clear recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Support the development and implementation of advocacy, public affairs, and policy initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, industry representatives, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, working groups, and external events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of policy and advocacy activities.
  • Prepare policy papers, briefing notes, position statements, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities and events.
  • Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities, and contribute innovative ideas to strengthen the organization's influence and impact.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Policy Officer should have:

  • Master's degree in Economics, Business, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in public affairs, policy, advocacy, consultancy, regulatory affairs, or a comparable environment.
  • Strong understanding of economic and market trends and their impact on consumers and businesses.
  • Good knowledge of the European policy and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Confident, proactive, and capable of representing an organization externally.
  • Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
  • Innovative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenge conventional thinking.
