Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant & Financial Reporting Specialist to join its Luxembourg finance team and take ownership of the accounting, reporting and compliance activities of several European entities.The role offers significant exposure to financial planning and process improvement initiatives within a dynamic international environment.

Our client is a well-established international real estate group specializing in logistics and industrial properties across Europe. Through a combination of investment, development and asset management activities.
The Luxembourg finance team acts as a central hub supporting a diverse portfolio of cross-border entities and investment structures.

Functie

As Senior Accountant & Financial Reporting Specialist you will have the following responsibilities :

  • Manage the accounting, reporting and compliance of entities across Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closings, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and review financial reporting packages under local GAAP and IFRS
  • Coordinate the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements and act as a key contact for external auditors and service providers
  • Ensure VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Monitor intercompany balances, financing transactions and cash movements
  • Support the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasts and financial performance analysis
  • Contribute to decision-making through reporting and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives including restructuring, financing and other corporate projects.
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls and support the implementation of finance systems and automation initiatives.


Profiel

The successful Senior Accountant & Financial Reporting Specialist has the following profile :

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, reporting or finance within an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • Exposure to VAT compliance and multi-jurisdictional structures is considered an advantage
  • Organized, analytical and proactive mindset
  • Fluent in English. French is an asset
