Our client is looking for a Senior Manager Real Estate Financing.This is a senior banking leadership role for someone analytical, structured and risk-minded, who can lead a growing team, challenge real estate financing files and ensure that the activity grows in line with the bank's strategy, credit discipline and regulatory expectations.

Job Description

As Senior Manager Real Estate Financing you will :

  • Lead, structure and develop a promising team of banking professionals.
  • Act as a senior technical and managerial reference point for the team, providing guidance, coaching and challenge on complex files.
  • Review, analyze and challenge real estate financing requests before they are submitted to credit committees or decision-making bodies.
  • Ensure that financing proposals are aligned with the bank's strategy, risk appetite, pricing discipline and regulatory framework.
  • Support the team in structuring transactions and assessing key credit risks, including cash flows, collateral, valuations, repayment capacity, LTV, DSCR and downside scenarios.
  • Act as a filter between commercial opportunities and credit approval, ensuring that only relevant and well-structured files move forward.
  • Monitor portfolio quality and identify early warning signals, particularly when projects become more complex or clients face repayment difficulties.
  • Defend the bank's interests in sensitive situations, while working with internal stakeholders to identify pragmatic solutions.
  • Participate in internal risk meetings and, where relevant, discussions with regulators or supervisory stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong understanding and application of banking regulation, internal policies and real estate financing governance.
  • Support knowledge sharing within the team and help junior profiles build stronger technical, analytical and regulatory capabilities.
  • Work closely with senior management and risk stakeholders to ensure that the real estate financing activity remains well controlled and aligned with the bank's strategic priorities.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate Senior Manager Real Estate Financing has :

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in real estate finance, structured finance, corporate banking in a structured environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in team management
  • Proven experience in credit structuring, analyzing and managing complex real estate financing transactions
  • Strong understanding of the Luxembourg banking and real estate environment and regulatory reporting
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Strong leadership and ability to engage teams; hands-on manager, close to the team and present in day-to-day operations
  • Capacity to understand real estate financing mechanics, including project financing, cash-flow analysis, collateral, valuations, LTV and DSCR
