Functie

As a Social Affairs Advisor, you will be at the forefront of advising and representing members in joint trade and services committees. Your expertise will help navigate complex labor laws, collective agreements, and social relations to ensure members are fully informed of the latest developments and best practices. You'll also play a vital role in shaping industry knowledge through personalized advice, webinars, and valuable resources that support member businesses in their day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Advise and represent members: Play a pivotal role in representing members in joint committees, providing advice on labor law, collective agreements, and social relations.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends: Keep members updated on the latest legislative changes and developments in the field of social affairs.
  • Drive member engagement: Develop and execute initiatives such as webinars and online resources to provide personalized and practical support to businesses.
  • Expand your expertise: Deepen your knowledge of the trade sector and specialize in social policy matters, with opportunities to maintain regular external contacts, particularly with HR professionals.

Profiel

  • Educational background: You hold a Master's degree in law, ideally with a specialization (LLM) in social law.
  • Experience: With over 5 years of experience as a lawyer or legal counsel, you've gained valuable insight working in a law firm, company, or social secretariat.
  • Expertise: You have a strong and up-to-date knowledge of labor and social law, and the ability to apply it in practical, impactful ways.
  • Language skills: You are fluent in French, with a solid working knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • Skills: You thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment, and excel in managing a diverse portfolio of cases. You're also skilled in negotiation and conciliation, with a strong customer focus.
  • Personality: You are dynamic, eager to build meaningful relationships, and passionate about making a social impact through your work.
