You act as the sole tax specialist within the group, managing a broad scope of tax matters (corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and international tax compliance) while supporting both local and Luxembourg entities. You work closely with internal stakeholders and the Group Tax team abroad, ensuring compliance and driving tax-related projects across the organization.

Our client is an international market leader active in the retail sector, with a strong presence across Europe and a well-established footprint in Belgium.

Job Description

You will be the go-to expert for all tax-related matters within the Belgian entity and will act as a key business partner both locally and internationally.

  • Act as a tax advisor on: Corporate income tax, VAT, Payroll taxes, Excise duties
  • Support the Luxembourg entity on tax matters
  • Monitor and implement changes in Belgian tax and accounting legislation
  • Prepare tax returns and review tax-related documentation
  • Manage advance tax rulings in collaboration with the business
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation with the Group Tax team (Germany)
  • Ensure compliance with international tax regulations
  • Maintain close contact with external advisors and Group Tax



The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Law or Economics with a specialization in Tax
  • ITAA certification is a big plus
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to take initiative
  • Fluent in Dutch & English
