Job Description

As a Trade & Category Specialist, you will play a key role in driving category growth and commercial performance across key retail partners. Acting as the link between Sales, Marketing, and customers, you will transform shopper and market insights into actionable recommendations that create value for both the business and its retail customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with commercial impact in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop category strategies and recommendations based on market, shopper, and retailer insights.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support the Sales team with compelling category presentations and customer-facing recommendations.
  • Monitor promotional effectiveness and provide actionable insights to optimize ROI.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful execution of category initiatives.
  • Build and maintain category management tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to retail partners by providing category expertise and strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to assortment, shelving, pricing, and promotional strategies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Category Development, Revenue Growth Management, or FMCG Analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial recommendations.
  • Comfortable working with market data sources (NielsenIQ, Circana, GfK, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, curious, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English; French and Dutch
