Job Description

Indirect Tax Compliance & Optimization



  • Filings & Submissions: Prepare, evaluate, and submit Luxembourg and Dutch VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat declarations, and mandatory statutory filings.


  • International Coordination: Oversee UK VAT compliance workflows in partnership with external tax consultancies to guarantee adherence to internal fiscal standards.


  • Audit & Dispute Management: Lead interactions during VAT audits, respond to tax authority inquiries, and manage comprehensive reconciliation records.


  • Treasury & Recovery: Direct domestic and cross-border EU VAT recovery claims and handle registrations or deregistrations with relevant fiscal bodies.


  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze accounting ledgers to identify potential tax exposure, inconsistencies, and structural optimization opportunities.



Corporate Accounting, Reporting & Compliance



  • Financial Closing: Manage the complete month-end and year-end closing cycles, processing statutory and IFRS general ledger entries, accruals, prepayments, and allocations.


  • Reporting Packages: Produce comprehensive monthly financial reporting deliverables for the corporate leadership team, ensuring rigorous data validation.


  • Transaction Monitoring: Direct day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, job costing, and purchase-to-pay (P2P) policy enforcement.


  • Intercompany Management: Oversee complex intragroup transactions, including intercompany service invoicing, financing structures, and regular balance reconciliations.


  • FP&A Support: Develop annual budgets, update financial forecasts in line with corporate guidelines, and audit submissions from regional asset management business lines.


  • Audit & Statutory Accounts: Coordinate external and internal audit cycles; prepare, review, and file annual statutory accounts.


  • Systems Evolution: Assist in the testing, implementation, and automation of new ERP tools to enhance internal control frameworks.



Stakeholder Collaboration



  • Business Partnering: Act as the primary financial liaison for internal Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, and Tax divisions.


  • M&A Integration: Deliver accounting and reporting integration support post-acquisition for newly incorporated corporate structures.

The Successful Applicant

Profile of the Successful Candidate



  • Experience & Education: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting and corporate tax. A university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Accounting, Finance, or Indirect Taxation is required.


  • Technical Expertise: Advanced operational knowledge of Luxembourg VAT regulations, EU tax frameworks, and statutory accounting principles. Sector experience within Real Estate, Private Equity, or alternative asset structures is highly advantageous.


  • Systems Literacy: Proficiency with advanced enterprise resource planning software; experience with Yardi systems is considered a strong asset.


  • Competencies: Highly structured, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. Proven ability to operate autonomously within a complex, multi-jurisdictional entity environment.


  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills with full professional fluency in English; exposure to cross-cultural corporate environments is preferred.
