Job Description

1. IT Infrastructure Governance & Strategy

  • Assess business and end-user needs, as well as quality, operational, and security requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into IT solutions and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve the local IT infrastructure architecture in alignment with business objectives and Group standards.
  • Advise management on IT strategy, technology evolution, infrastructure investments, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems, services, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, and corporate requirements.



2. User Support & Service Delivery

  • Provide technical support to end-users through telephone, e-mail, remote assistance, and face-to-face interventions.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
  • Assist end-users in the effective use of IT equipment, systems, and applications.
  • Deliver user guidance and training when required.
  • Coordinate with external providers and Group IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.

3. Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance

  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain local IT infrastructure including servers, networks, endpoints, and associated services.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Manage backup, recovery, monitoring, and business continuity mechanisms.
  • Perform infrastructure updates, upgrades, patch management, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, inventory records, system configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all IT services, including network services, endpoint management, printing services, e-mail systems, and security tools.



4. Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with legal, regulatory, customer, and Group requirements.
  • Continuously assess and improve the security posture of systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the effective operation of security solutions, including endpoint protection, access control, monitoring, backup, and recovery systems.
  • Contribute to security audits, compliance assessments, and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in the management of cybersecurity incidents and crisis situations involving complex infrastructure or software issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a comparable role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Entra ID, networking, endpoint management, backup and recovery, virtualization, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Practical knowledge of cybersecurity controls, vulnerability and patch management, access control, endpoint protection, incident response, and secure infrastructure configuration.
  • Experience providing remote and on-site end-user support and managing incidents, service requests, technical documentation, and SLAs.
  • Experience managing IT suppliers, licenses, assets, procurement activities, and budget-related processes.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 implementation is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to operate independently as a local IT point of contact while collaborating effectively with centralised Group IT functions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder-management, and organisational skills.
  • Professional fluency in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and provide support outside standard working hours when required.
  • Relevant Microsoft, networking, ITIL, or cybersecurity certifications are considered an advantage.
